America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
SUPPORTING THE WAR EFFORT DOES NOT MAKE YOU PRO-WAR
Published on October 12, 2005 By Moderateman In War on Terror

As usual with the left there are no shades of grey with the Bush administration, If you support the troops and believe we are in a war on terror, you must be a BUSHIE {whatever that means}.

I am fervently anti-war, I hate war with a passion few that never served can understand.

I was told yesterday my reasons for supporting the war effort ":were not good enough" As if to sit in judgement for my reasoning to continue supporting the effort on the war on terror is a moot point.

Well I am here to tell you being supportive of the war on terror does not make you PRO-WAR. Who the hell is pro-war anyways?

I disagree with many of President Bushes policies, such as keeping the border open, offering amnesty to illegal aliens.

For what ever reason the war in Iraq happened { I do not care what reason YOU FIND or lack of reason you find either} We are at war NOW! Cutting and running is NOT an option as the latest letter from the chief of Al Qaeda in Iraq said, "We want to establish a ISLAMIC state, take over surrounding countries and destroy Israel" This IN ITSELF SHOULD SHOW THE LEFT A WITHDRAWEL OF TROOPS VIETNAM STYLE WILL NOT STOP THE SLAUGHTER ON INNOCENT PEOPLE.

The terrorist hate mongers are using the Vietnam model of continuing to fight, in the hopes the American public pressures President Bush to withdraw troops. This is a mistake, a huge mistake. You anti-war people are continuing to give hope and aid to the terrorists by calling them freedom fighters and patriots.

The terrorist are citing every word spoken by the ANTI-WAR movement to keep their hopes up that we cut and run.
You anti-war folks are fueling the terrorist, when parated claims you are supporting the terrorist he is right on the money, you may not think you are supporting them but in fact, the terrorist say you are!!

Now, to paraphrase Bob Dylan "I don't want to be like you, live like you or think like you, all I really want to do, is baby be friends with you".

For sure I cannot be converted to an anti-war advocate, neither am I PRO war. I just support the efforts of the President and our troops, while you don't!! Does my support of our troops fighting make me some kind of monster? I do not think so, if there are any monsters to be named they are the terrorist and the anti-war people that support them.

Cannot you anti-war people see that you are tearing America apart? I am willing to bet you do not care.

To make this clearer voicing your opinion about the war does not make you some kind of hero, the heroes are on the battlefield dieing and being maimed so you can run your BIG MOUTHS, go to sleep in a safe home, eat good food, stay warm and cool while feeling some kind of self satisfaction that you are a patriot! Well kids you are not patriots, that does not make you anti-american either, but you are walking a fine line.

On a side note: I think not enough has been done for the Kurds. They have been very good allies and have suffered immensely under Saddam. The Kurds in Iraq are Muslims but peaceful and not anti-Israel. They are a shining example of what Muslims can be and what Islam can become. We should not forget that or them.

the kurds should be a moidel for the rest of Islam, they govern themselves, the are peace loving people, naturally this makes the rest of Islam want to kill them.

terrorist destroy children and not a peep from the left, they torture and maim people, not a word, they cut off peoples heads publicly, not a word,

I'm reluctant to speak for the Left from my own safe perch in the militantly moderate middle (MMM), but I don't think that this is entirely true. The left is splintered into countless opposing groups, some of whom have spent years fighting against the torturing, maiming and beheading, long before the rest of us really noticed that it was happening. To be frank, before 9/11 not a lot of americans paid much attention to some of the nasty things happening in the middle east and they have been happening for a very long time.

to be fair though you are right to point out that those on the far left who are allying themselves with islamic fundamentalism (something I really can't understand) are guilty of double standards.

I agree in principal, but the part of the left that is most VOCAL and out there making news just happen to be the loons and anti-war, pro terrorist idiots.

you are safe here btw, I have no problem with people that make sense or take stands as long as the stand is well thought out and not some kind of parroting party line.

thank you for acknowledging that.

double standards are now the hallmark of the democratic party. This makes me sad.

My plan for Iraq, as I've said before--WARNING--it's not a pleasant plan:

Increase troop strength as high as possible in Iraq as quickly as possible
Notify Iraqi national govt in secret that we intend to remove our forces from Arab areas asap.
Launch multiple simultaneous operations against every city in the Sunni areas with a muj presence
Slaughter the hell out of the insurgents and terrorists
Partition the country into Sunni, Shiite, and Kurdish regions
Split oil revenues using a mathematical equation that takes into account location of wells and demographics of country
Move reduced numbers of troops to Kurdish regions (the rest can go home)
Bomb the living daylights out of any celebrations where terrorists and insurgents claim to have forced America out of Iraq

follows my "kill everyone let Allah sort em out plan" I like it.

MM approves of withdrawing troop under these parameters.

to quote Dennis Miller...."Maybe it'd time for a good old fahioned American "Yeeeeahad!" in the middle east.
