"Homophobia- Fear of blood" That is not the usual use of the word. I have never heard of homphobia defined as fear of blood.

I am afraid of snakes, bees, heights and objects being hurtled at me. Those are all useful, self preserving fears though.

I copied all these from a site on funny phobias jill, yep a good fear can keep you safe.

I have always defined the difference between a "hero" and a "coward" as they are both scared to death, the hero acts off the fear and does what is necessary, the coward reacts to his fear and runs away. both are programed human responces, flight or fight.

for me, it's spiders! I loath them! Yet, I am absolutely terrified of them. Having run this through my mind logically, telling myself they are little and I am about 10000 times bigger then they are.............it does no good! When i was younger i would tell people i hated spiders because they are cowards! they wait till you are asleep and then come and bit you! I still stand by that. > not only spiders, I just hate bugs in the house, and have been known from time to time to grab my can of inside raid and walk around the house having just seen a large spider that got away! Finally, i made a deal with them. If I catch you, your toast! If i never see you, you live! Esspecially now, I live in a very old house. Everyone knows what old houses hold! So, I made this agreement not just with spiders but with any bug!
oh yeahhhhhhhhh, sureeeeeeeeeee, righttttttttttttttt, nice try on my part. I keep the can of raid in reaching distance.

I'm afraid of bridges and heights. The height thing is not all the time. Sometimes it just hits me in the gut. The crappiest little handrail makes me feel safe. It's just when there isn't stopping me from falling it freaks me out. Oh and overpasses on highways. That kind of combines bridges and heights together. These don't keep me home but I have to do breathing exercises as I drive through these type of situations.
