America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
No slavery reparations! Not from me.

It seems the NAACP is up to its old tricks again making victims of blacks in the United States again.

Now they want the government to spend taxpayer money to research what companies still exist that held slaves 150 years ago.

The NAACP which has about 11 billion Liberal lawyers working for them and are also members cannot seem to find anyone of them to do pro bono work to help there own cause and there own people.

Is this just another case of the leadership defining the black people of America as victims?

Why should I have to pay one dime for research? MY people did not get to America until 1929 long after slavery was abolished.

It seems the favorite target of the NAACP is now the Jews, along with the Black Muslims taking shots at the Jews, the white supremacy taking shots at the Jews, the Muslims taking shots at the Jews, why should I as Jew pay anything to anyone?

The NAACP is now trying to propose a “reparation tax” on the American people, I for one will refuse to pay this.

The day that taxes are used for reparations is the day that I'm turning in my passport and learning the words to 'oh canada'. I love the USA but....I won't be a part of that.

And don't leave out us Mormons. The state of Missouri passed what was called, "The Mormon Extermination Act" making it not only legal to kill a Mormon, but considered a patriotic act. As a church, we have never even considered the thought of reparations from the State of Missouri (mostly because we believe in Self Reliance, not Cash for Victim status schemes), but hey, if this country takes "victim = respect" to the point that the taxpayers should pay for the sins of the fathers... why shouldn't Missouri pay? ;~D Of course, after me and my family collect the loot, how can we possibly continue living in a country that would pay such extortion money? Of course, we would have to take the money and live somewhere else. ;~D

I think that is one of the reasons that this shit is driving me nuts! WE all have been slaves to someone at one time or another, yet it is only blacks that try to extort money from it.

True, I think the whole thing is just a play on the "my brand of suffering is worse than your brand of suffering". Except of course, the "brand of suffering" in question was never experienced by those who hope to capitalize on it.

truth, I just heard that the NAACP is using the "reparations" we have to the japanese because of the horrendous act of internment during WW2, the japanese were citizens that were jailed, had all property taken away, all buisnesses taken, although I do sympathise{sp?} with the blacks that were slaves, there offspring have had every oppertunity to rise above it and some have not taken advantage of it.

No, they haven't - because taking advantage of it would mean that they'd have to make some kind of effort and as we all know, they shouldn't have to do that. Everything should be handed to them on a platter and they shouldn't have to lift a finger for any of it. After all, their great great great grandparents were enslaved and did enough work for the next 5 generations.

I like anyone else do not want to pay either. Instead of trying to get "reparations" the NAACP should help their people by stop looking themselves as "victims". Plus they need to help by promoting education as a good thing. In most inner cities, kids who are smart or kids who try to go to school to actuallly learn and get an education are looked down on and are often referred to as "sellouts". That's the kind of attitude the NAACP should try to banish.

The people who want to sit back do nothing and expect handouts hate the people who want to better themselves. They call them "wannabes" as in want to be white. Which is the most ridiculous logic if you think about it. They actually believe that education and hard work that leads to success is exclusive to the white population. But it all stems of years of being taught to remain a "victim". Of course, most "victims" will read this and probably just use the "he hates blacks" argument. Again making themselves the "victim". I'm not going to deny there's racism in the United States because it's alive and well and kicking. But don't use that as a crutch to keep you down forever because I'm telling you racism isn't going away anytime soon.

I remember watching a Chris Rock concert and he said though it was tough to be black in America he still loved it here because you can still succeed if you really want to. He also said if you think black people really got it bad to just look at the Native Americans. Then he asked the audience, "When was the last time you saw two Native Americans out chilling? When is the last time you saw a Native American family out eating like at Red Lobster?" He said Native Americans got it way worse than blacks so quit your complaining and chase your dream. Any dream. Just don't let you being black stop you. I thought it was a great message hidden in a comedy routine.

So I'm telling you, NAACP, quit asking for "reparations". Do you really think money is going to make their lives better? If you really truly care make your people know that being black doesn't mean you're a "victim" in this world. And if you really want money instead, then be like the Native Americans and open some casinos.
