Listen up you freaks, America makes mistakes, so what?

We sometimes rush to judgement, so what?

We back the wrong people sometimes, so what?

We put our heart and souls into things that turn out wrong, so what?

We are good allies in time of need, so what?

We give more of our time, money and food than any country on the face of the planet, so what?

You want perfect? Find another country better than the united states.

It's about time you america hating people stop and think if not for america where would your country be?

We have policed the world to the betterment of the world, so what?

Maybe it's time for america to step back and let you mutts shit all over your selves to try and fit our shoes.

Let you do the stuff america has been doing for over 100 years, be a world leader.

Step up to the plate, france, Iran, russia, belgium, spain and you too england.

Try standing alone and do all the good we do, without our help, see how long you last when other countries start to feel jealous over you.

We have policed the world to the betterment of the world, so what?

Tell that to Salvador Allende, Jacobo Arbenz or Juan Bosch.

Or try saying that out loud in Nicaragua.

I guess you missed the part where I said we make mistakes.

Any nation is entitled to make mistakes. But the loudest moral crusader should at least have the decency to try to learn something from them.
We sometimes rush to judgement, so what?
It's unfortunate innocent people die because of such rash judgement, which leads back to the previous line. Learn from it.
We back the wrong people sometimes, so what?
Those people murder their citizens, which is something your country pretends to care about when it suits them. They armed Hussein's Iraq you know. Bin Laden---US supported him. Hussein---US supported him.
We put our heart and souls into things that turn out wrong, so what?
Back to the previous innocent deaths which stem from those wrongs.
We are good allies in time of need, so what?
The US acts unilaterally with its policies. What good allies are you referring to?
We give more of our time, money and food than any country on the face of the planet, so what?
3rd world money flows west if you're in the east and north if you're in the south. Like it or not, US donations are a pittance when compared to what it rakes in. I'm talking about percentagewise btw. 6% of the world's population but 80% of it's resources is a bit lopsided isn't it?
You want perfect? Find another country better than the united states.
Who says anything about perfection? People want a legal responsible government. Look at the leaked memo which proves for all-time how the US lied and knew they were lying. Nations can make mistakes, but they must learn from them. Unless of course, the mistakes are deliberate as part of a larger plan for creating Bush's touted new world order.
It's about time you america hating people stop and think if not for america where would your country be?
Condemning illegal torture and murder is not hating America. It's often a desire to strive for a better world. Nice deflection device that youhateamerica thing is. I love what the US represented, but I hate how they have murdered children and other innocents in achieving it. Get some moral fibre and treat others fairly. Torture isn't the way.
We have policed the world to the betterment of the world, so what?
What an insulated-from-history statement that is. WW2 patriotism is long gone now. Vietnam. Betterment? Laos. Betterment? Cambodia. Betterment? Rwanda. Betterment? Somalia. Betterment? Why don't you make a thread about why the US has the overall right to police the world as they see fit. K?

ah reiki you are a prime example of america envy. get over it, maybe you should try just once to list all the good america does and thank her for it, instead of your one note bash, hate despise america song, then someone might, just might pay attention to what you say.

no envy whatsoever. I don't even know what that means. You're saying I'm jealous of America because of how I say it's wrong to kill babies? What the hell is your mind making up? Very strange. I'm jealous because I disagree with murder. You're odd.

See, this is why I will read you in preference to most others, Modman, because you do know where your fine country has got it wrong in the past. I don't like some of the decisions your Administration has made, sure, but that doesn't mean I don't like the USA as a whole. Most of what you've said here I fully agree with, except for

Find another country better than the united states

but I'm sure you'll forgive my obvious patriotism to my own country.

K wanted to make sure you understood I appreciate patriots, no matter the country.
on Jun 16, 2005
Understood completely. BTW, when are you going to get around to put up your answers to your patriot article? I'd be interested in seeing what you think of some of the responses as well.

I wish that people would realize that Americans are human, and the USA is a country filled with humans. And like all the other people that live on this God forsaken planet Americans make mistakes, and American administrations make mistakes.

It's too bad that most won't learn from them.

Good article.

Can you stop telling this lie. The French and Russians were the two major supplier of weapons for Iraq.
