Oh where to start? We own our own home, not the bank, us. But I can't spell.

We own a cma and stock and bonds through Merril Lynch. But my grammar sucks.

Our credit report is 830. But I dropped out of high school.

I created not one but two sucessfull buisnesses and retired at 55. But I make simple errors in english.

We own stock in two different energy companies alot of stock. But I just cannot spell properly.

We have a pma account with wells fargo. But they never correct my spelling when I have to write checks.

Our home is filled with new furnature, quality wood and such. Yet I cannot spell half the stuff we own.

My wife gets a new car every two years, I get one every four. But my grammar does not seem to bother the auto outlets.

Gee maybe if I had better english skills I could be broke like some of the losers here. Nope I think I like being dumb and rich.

Yes, you and Shakespeare both

Interestingly, no one really cared much about English spelling until a couple of hundred years ago when a couple of dictionary nerds (Samuel Johnson in England, Noah Webster in America) decided to tell everyone the one and only correct way to spell words.

I happen to be a good speller (good memory and slightly anal) but I always get some words wrong (like 'honour', 'colour', 'favourite' and 'grey'...)

Reply By: little_whipPosted: Sunday, June 05, 2005The only time I pick on someone's spelling is when they are calling other people, (like the President) "morons" when they are barely literate themselves, or when they are spending tons of time in JU bitching about how unfair the world is and that they can't seem to find a job, (like JoeKnowledge.)Other than that, who cares?

obviously some here think spelling and proper grammar make them somehow better than the less BOOK educated. It must be a very low estime problem to try to demean others so they can feel better about there drug induced mess of a life.

The fact is that it's not your spelling that's the problem. The problem is that it's always the hate messages that your bad spelling is wrapped around. Take some stock of that, why don't you. What a joke.

I see no hate messages in the vast bulk of my last 40 posts dabe, and surely there is no hate here at all, I think you look for things that are not there with me dabe, maybe you should rethink things. And the "what a joke" is those kind of comments necessary for you to make a point? some would view that remark as provacative. But I just consider the source.

The main reason I went into computers as a career is that I sucked at spelling!  I wrote my own word processor back in 1980 (On a Honeywell Mainframe).

Am I stupid?  Nope, I just have different priorities.  Learning about the latest Switching Routing Equipment is more important to me than figuring out how to spell separate correctly.

Besides, I got the Fazz to help me with my spelling on this site!

'honour', 'colour', 'favourite' and 'grey'

Technically, these are not incorrect spellings. These are the european/British way of spelling. I do it all the time because I'm so used to it. Then sometimes I correct myself and sometimes I don't!

It should be remembered that when a kidergartener learns to write words and sentences, spelling is not as important as the child actually knowing what's being said and can use the words correctly! Spelling comes afterwards!

Good one gimpy!

here is something for you to ponder dabe, YOU ARE the only one that seems to think I am filled with hatred, yet many many people here think you are hatred personified.
