I think this is in reference to Ted {hic} Kennedy's speech about thinking that conservatives had won the Presidency, Senate and House.

HInt: Hey Ted, sober up! They did!

best article I saw on this was from an uber liberal. He decried the left's fillibuster tactics as that seemed to indicate to him that they planned on being a minority party for the next, ummmmm..... long time!

They are acting like it tho.

Really?  Guess the Nuke option is coming regardless of the 12 moderates then.

The moderate repubs are not going to let the democrats filibuster that, and you know they are going to hate the nominee.

Of course they will hate it. But i think that's where the real ugly fight will be.I guess it's the overall attitude by an over confident majority that makes them think the opposition is DOA. When in actuality, they are waiting for one particular fight to go all out on.

The Presidency is 8 years max. the Supreme Court and, in particular the Chief Justice set the tone for 20 years.

It's a fact.

What has gone on so far with the lower court judges will prolly look like a picnic compared to what i think both sides are willing to do for the SC.

the left is behaving like spoiled children.... not allowing an up or down vote and if forced to give {do their job} an up or down vote vowing to bring the senate to there knees.

thats what the hub bub is all about THE SUPREME COURT.. if the majority does not stop the minority before a vacancy opens on the big bench there will be this filibuster nonsense over the big court.

Ironic that the "nuclear option" is basically nothing more than aligning the rules of the Senate with the checks and balances realities of the Constitution.
