Danny Platt confessed, told police where to find the child's body and will be booked with first-degree murder of Ja' Shawn Powell, Danny Platt Murdered his 2 and 1/2 year old child to avoid paying child support, how sick is this? this happened in New Orleans and city that should have been destroyed by Katrina.

Platt has long said he would kill either his wife or his child if ordered to pay child support, his wife is in hiding now after the horrendous death of Ja' Shawn.

Can any of you parents imagine murdering your child to avoid paying child support? I know dead beat Dads run amok in America but this latest act by Danny Platt makes him the King of all dead beat dads { a Dubious honor} He will have to be separated from the main population while awaiting the death sentence because even convicts have morals that would cause Mr. Platts death by Shanking {killed by home made knife}

Personally while I am a peaceful man I would give long thought to killing this piece of trash myself.

How any "father" could do something this horrendous do avoid paying child support is so far beyond my thinking I am speechless.

Tens of thousands of dollars to support this person in prison until execution (if it EVER happens) vs $.50 for a 9mm round...in these hard economic times it seems to me there is an easy choice to make here. Or just let him loose in general population for a couple of weeks.

And that makes it hard for the rest of us. Platt is simply an animal (male cats will kill their offspring to force an early return to the mother's gestation cycle). But the dead beats are not much better. They just are not as honest as platt is.
