America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
How to sell Nothing and make it look like something big

Barak Obama If he were to step back in time to the 1800's would have been one of the most prolific snake oil salesmen of all times. He would have convinced any crowd that his product could, cure baldness, help women get pregnant, cure arthritis, mixed in feed fatten cattle overnight, help the skinny gain weight and the fat lose it.

The man is a silver tongued devil he is. Some how he blinded the American people into buying a pig in a poke.

He turned their eyes away from the fact he has no real credentials to assume the office of the President, matter of fact of the four people in the race McCain, Palin and Biden, Obama has the least amount of experience of the four.

He turned away the eyes of the American people from the fact that he was mentored by some blatant anti-American scum, one of them a know terrorist that in the 60's tried to kill police and blew up several buildings.

Even with all  this going against him, I have high hopes this charmer will somehow, someway bring us out of this huge mess we are in, the economy, the war, which I hate passionately and most of all bring the country together instead of being so damn divided as we have been the last eight years.

No he isnt...does he hold a plumbers licence?

Neither does mine, and he does not need it.  YOu lied.

He said it in the following days. "I just told him(obama) that I just wanted to corner one of these guys"

So do I, but they never came to me.  Obama went to him.  You seem to be overlooking that little detail.

you are trying to split hairs on a technicality of a trade. His occupation is a plumber (classified as novice?).

He didn't say he was a licensed plumber.

Great additional point!  I suppose when Mooseplow says he is a father that is a lie, since he is not licensed either.

Face it MP.  Joe did not lie.  But you are out to get him because he dared question the new messiah (as is the press, and all the liberal loons).  All for asking one question to the man who would not be questioned.

The first part of that statement, that he has no real credentials, is untrue and the second part of that statement, that he is the least experienced, depends on what you count as experience.

Let's just count being in public office, (I think that is unfair because leadership experience can doesn't just come from being in public office, but lets do it for now):

Obama: State Senate 8 years + US senate 4 years = 12 years

McCain: House of Reps 4 years + US senate 18 years = 22 years

Palin: Member of council 4 years + Mayor 6 years + Governor 1.5 years = 11.5 years

Biden: US senator 36 years = THIRTY SIX YEARS!!! He's the 6th longest serving of all living senators!

Okay so on the numbers alone he is actually the only just the second least experienced IN PUBLIC OFFICE but is that the only thing that counts towards experience in the skills needed to be president? I don't think so and I don't think you do either. Lets tally again with other leadership roles:

Obama: Public office 12 years + 1year as President of the Havard Law Review + 3 years as a Director of the Developing Communities Project + 3 non-overlapping years (6 consecutive years if you count the time during which he was also state senator) on various boards of directors for community fund raising programs = 19 years

McCain: Public Office 22 years + Navy in commanding role 5 years (I'm being generous here because he's never been given a major sea command and only commanded a training squaudron for a fairly short time) =  27 years

Palin: 11.5 years + 1 year on the board of the Alaskan Oil and Gas Conservation Commission + err, sometime as a basketball captain and head of the the fellowship of christian athletes... yeah I don't have numbers here but does it matter? = ~12.5 years

Biden: 36 years + who cares he still wins.....

Now that's excluding Obama's time working as a lawyer and as a university Lecturer. It also excludes what he's actually done as senator which includes a hell of a lot of useful stuff for a president involving international relations and so on. Now Obama is 2/3 of McCains age but has been in leadership roles for 4/10 of his life McCain has been in leadership roles 3/10 of his life. However I'd say it about even with other stuff I've left out.

Now I agree the proof of the pudding is in the eating but going off history I can't see McCain as a better president than Obama. McCain has often been characterised as reckless, he was as pilot and he still is as a politician. I'd say picking Palin was an example of this - early on it was a good idea but once we all began to see the fine print not so smart. Obama on the other hand is very calculating - this might be seen as scary to some but me it is a sign of intelligence. Like the sort of intelligence it takes not to get into wars that you have no idea how to get out of. I think we've seen that reactionary politicians like Bush are a bad way to go and only get you jnto trouble.

Don't get me started on this nonsense about him hanging around with terrorists. That was the lamest last ditch effort to gain some ground on Obama when McCain realised he was going to lose big time. Now I have to admit after reading about McCain I have quite a respect for some of the things he's done but none of it really makes me think he's fit to lead a country. If I want a guy how can stand being imprisoned and beaten for 5 years and still refuse to be released until his fellow prisoners are too he'd be my man. If I want someone to lead a country I'd pick Obama.

In summary I think it's a bit early to be calling him a snake oil salesman. Since it took "mess after, mess after mess" before you stopped believing in Bush forgive me if I don't  trust your judgement of character!

What do you call a person who has not gotten a promotion in 36 years?

Proof of the peter principal!

How wonderful to see your name again! now we are discussing things. Throwing in Bidens experience is relevant how? Out of the 3 years in the Senate Obama spent the last two of them campaigning for President. He holds the all time championship for voting "PRESENT" 160+ times in the one year he was actually playing Senator.

Tis ok you not trusting my Judgment , look at all the mistakes Carter made while President and yet to Democrats he was their hero. I would much rather have many people with opposing views from mine, it's how I learn while agreement is nice it does not give me a chance to learn and maybe change my mind.

Is this a nice way of calling Biden a dick head? he he  heh heh

Neither does mine, and he does not need it. YOu lied.

To actually be a plumber on his own with his own business he does:)

on Nov 13, 2008

He did? Now how do you know that? BUYING - future tense. SO you are now God?

once again he flat out it in interviews, I am not god just taking his own words.

So do I, but they never came to me. Obama went to him. You seem to be overlooking that little detail.

Have you seen the video joe, I mean sam, called him over.

No not out to get him it was a fair question and obama answered it very well and was honest about his plans, My point of contention is that joe was not and he said it by his own words after the fact.

actually I do have a licence so to speak its a birth certificate of my children, but some things dont require them.  To have a child does not require skill per say.  To learn to be a plumber does hence the difference.

No, yours is a nice way of calling him far worse.

The Peter Principal is an axiom that states that a person will do good in jobs that he is competent in.  And so get promoted, and continue to get promoted, until he reaches a job he is incompetent in.  There he will stay.

on Nov 14, 2008

To actually be a plumber on his own with his own business he does:)

Again no he does not.  The Business has to own a license, but the owner does not have to be a plumber or have a license.  And the employees, who are plumbers do not have to be licensed.

once again he flat out it in interviews, I am not god just taking his own words.

He never did.  You just decided to call him a liar.  Truth is, he has plans.  Down the drain now that the left has decided to make an example of him (in the name of the Messiah), but he did not lie. He stated he wanted to buy a business.  Future tense.  So are you going to deny him his right to do so (in which case he is still not lying since his intentions are still there, but the left is denying him his rights).

Have you seen the video joe, I mean sam, called him over.

Many times - and if Gus Hall was campaigning in my neighborhood, I would have called him over as well.  It is clear that Obama initiated the episode.  Joe just took advantage of it.  And have we gone 1984 already?  Now the left is going to decide what our names are?  I thought you would wait at least until the coronation.

No not out to get him it was a fair question and obama answered it very well and was honest about his plans, My point of contention is that joe was not and he said it by his own words after the fact.

I actually like Obama's answer - not the answer itself, but the fact that he was honest about his socialism.  I have no problem with the whole face off, but the Obamabots took it and have tried to destroy an honest man.  Joe is and was honest, but then you just dont like his plans, so you try to make it a lie, when in truth the only way it can be a lie is:

1. You deny him his basic rights.
2. He knew you would do so.

I think the tin foil hats are over on the left.

on Nov 14, 2008

actually I do have a licence so to speak its a birth certificate of my children

No, that is not a license (and there are licenses for fathers).  So you must be lying, you are not a licensed father.  By your logic.

And fathering a child requires little (note not none - youhave to get the hole right) skill, but fathering does require a lot of skill.
