America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
A real look at how things really are world wide
Published on September 18, 2008 By Moderateman In Politics

Countries like England, Germany, Japan and Italy, who were once America's enemies, have become our friends and allies. In South America Hugo Chavez of Venezuela believes that America is demonic, then why does he continue to trash us and do business with us? Is it because criticizing the one remaining superpower is safe? Americans do it all the time. We regularly criticize the government, but when the republic is in danger, we SHOULD stop the trashing and come to its aid. Check Pearl Harbour and 9/11

It was at West Point, that President Bush, in 2002 developed what is known as the "BUSH DOCTRINE". After that anti-Americanism in Europe and South America got even worse! Why is there so much anti-Americanism world wide? Why if as polls show the people of Europe regard us as the "biggest threat to world peace" that they continue to insult us, after all we have done for them? After all it was Europe that help make the twentieth century one of the darkest in modern history; it was they that start two world wars; it was they that put into place two of the most criminal regimes ever inflicted on the human race, with a murder total upward of 70 million people.

But I have good news! If the U.S. was in grave peril when it comes to nuclear weapons--Great Britain, France, India, Pakistan and Israel have only tiny arsenals of such weapons. Our enemies, such as North Korea and Iran, are desperately trying to develop the technology that would allow them to build and launch nukes against the United States and Europe{ To bad about Europe} To Illustrate, although China a POTENTIAL enemy, has a huge army, but its training and quality of weapons is very poor. The Chinese have around 20 ICBMs that could reach the U.S.. Their rockets are generally unreliable.

As for Russia another Enemy {IMO} They have allowed their ICBMs to fall apart as they do not have the money to keep a steady state of repair and alert. Their Nuclear Submarine force has also fallen apart; When they were the Soviet Union they made 60 separate patrols in their Subs, now they make only two per year sometimes less.

I find it Ironic that the country that finds America the greatest threat to world peace is the country that allowed the likes of Hitler and Stalin to take power and did nothing about it. Then they cried to America to come help them, now that they feel safe and we are no longer needed all the years of being protected by us has caught up and they resent us for the job we did that they could NOT!!!

Seems close my friend, but communism is based on sharing of wealth {not that they do that}MM, both are forms of socialism and require a totalitarian state.  The German form killed lots of Jews, The Russian form had plans to kill but Stalin was assasinated just before.I offer you a quote, Hitler said in 1927, “We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance.” AD shameless promotes an article.LINK

I generally agree with you in that I believe that many people are getting a bit spoiled and decrying the United States when it really isn't all that fair to do so.   I lived in Europe for a good part of my life, and from what I've seen, there is a general dislike over the American Government (though not the people though).  I guess people just generally want someone to point their fingers at, and when you are the only superpower, I guess it's hard to avoid no matter what you do.China a POTENTIAL enemy, has a huge army, but its training and quality of weapons is very poor. The Chinese have around 20 ICBMs that could reach the U.S.. Their rockets are generally unreliable. While this may have been true in the past, China's making great efforts to modernize its military and emphasize quality over quantity.  While China won't come anywhere near the might of the U.S. military for quite sometime, their main focus is mainly in acheiving dominance in their own region, which is something they are very likely to do in the near future.  After all, for every one dollar China spends on defense in their own region, the U.S. must spend several more to maintain supremacy in an area outside its home region.http://www.defenselink.mil/pubs/pdfs/China_Military_Report_08.pdfThis is a pretty good read on the topic if you're interested.

Well I was speaking of the "NOW" I will take a gander at the link you so kindly provided. and thank you for doing so.

Hugo is only dangerous because of the oil he controls.

Not really.  Oil unused is just polution.  Let him sell to the chinese - the chinese are not going to be stupid enough to buy more oil than they want.  All Chavez can do is cap hiw wells - but I dont think he will be in power very long if he does that.

Um...Europe isn't a country! Also Russia isn't a part of Europe. Also strange how you seem to view America as coming to help Europe in WW2 - IIRC it was you being attacked by the Japanese which forced you onto the one side.

Meanwhile it is a bit contradictory to point out how much relations can change between friends+enemies (e.g. relations with Germany+Japan now compared with the early 1940s), and yet decry Europeans when they no longer attach such prominence to the assistance from America in past history. As for why the US may be seen as a threat to world peace? Well any country which is prepared to invade another country without them or their allies having been attacked by them isn't exactly a bastion of world peace.

The US was in the war for much longer then what is the official record. The lend lease act was not an action of a neutral.

Iraq was shooting at US forces who were partoling its skys lawfully in a ceasefire agreement.  We were very tired at the time of these attack and had enough. When Saddam broke the ceasefire again we broke Saddam.

Afgainstan was the willing base of those that attacked our soil on 9/11. Plus a myriad of other "smaller" attacks.  Even the twin towers was attack about 7 years prior to the one that toppled them.

Truth be known it's you and LW that I figured would be the first to comment on this article.  LW because she asked for pictures last year and you because well, you know more about it than anyone else.
