America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Facts or Myths?

I Know! Another article about global warming and Al {chicken little Gore}. But did you know that immense pressure is being put on our educators to show his "fictional" movie about climate change in our schools?

This article will be about the amount of JUNK science being promoted by Gore and his followers.

The recent book called' The Politically incorrect guide to global warming' by Christopher H. Horner chronicles how the environmentalists are using "an inconvenient Truth' to score political points, and used by the leftist to create man made hysteria, while they claim 'catastrophic man-made damage to the planet IE:global warming, is little more than chicken little politics and panic, not actual science.

Horner points out that Gore's Hollywood friends refer to him as the ''goreacle". Gore is now revered, by those that agree with him, as a prophet, a seer, a messiah who will save our world and our civilization with his new gospel of "climate change"

Liberals are hoping that Gore's movie will end the discussion about global warming. They think that it is ''irresponsible" to even discuss it any more. The only question the liberals will allow or even discuss is "what will we do about it"

Here are a few "FACTS" ignored by Gore's movie and the Liberals in general.

There is NO scientific consensus on global warming; Climate is always changing, with or without the actions of man. It has been doing so for millions of years and will continue to do so long after man in dead and gone.

Remember it was not many years ago that all the scientist and environmentalist were screaming from the rooftop about about global COOLING.

The environmentalist movement has nothing to do with Grassroots, it is a politically driven elite movement that uses its wealth to make sizable campaign donations to the Democratic party.

Hurricanes are NOT getting worse, 'the Medieval warm period' was much warmer than today is. Last year the predictions of at least six major hurricanes that would 'ravage America' did not even come close, not even one made landfall. NOT ONE!

The amount of soil damage from single crop growth to produce Ethanol will be a very real problem in the near future and who really know the damage burning ethanol will do to the environment?

If Gore is successful in his pitch for global warming, it will lead to much higher costs and direct or indirect energy rationing for the masses. {read you and I}[ not the rich and famous}

It's time we expose global warming for what it really is, A power grab by those that believe that BIG GOVERNMENT can solve all out problems and supply all our needs.

when i was in school, we learned that the earth is in a decaying orbit with the sun.
evidently, every trip around, we get about 4 inches closer to the sun. how scientists come up with some stuff like that, i'll never know, but there it is.

i also learned that the sun is getting hotter all the time. eventually, it will grow in size so big that it will engulf the orbit of the earth. i bet global warming will be out of control when that happens.

a movie i saw in school said that almost every species on the planet would benefit if temps globally were a little warmer. up to 10 degrees warmer, and we are worried about fractions of a degree.

i recently watched a show about polar bears. polar bears are smaller than they used to be because the climate is changing. this is called evolution. if they can't keep up, they will become extinct. cycle of life and all that crap.

so, the last thing that i recently saw said that greenhouse gasses are primarily made up of water vapor. why isn't anyone working on that? 95% of greenhouse gasses are caused by water evaporating. we can't stop that from happening. if we as a race all got together, held hands and worked our asses off to cut in half our greenhouse gas causing emissions we will have done almost nothing. we will have effected at most, 5% of the problem.

i'm not saying we shouldn't work to make cleaner running cars, and make our world more beautiful. really, i totally love nature, and all the wonderful outdoor things we have here in and around the city i live in. i just don't understand why all the info out there is contradictory. gore says that all the scientists agree, but its not true. i just don't believe that we can't wade through the crap, and find the truth about global warming. i guess i just don't get why its a political issue,
why don't we try and vote out volcano's (which give out more harmful emissions in one small to medium eruption than a hundred years worth of combustion engine's have done).

i've noticed that a lot of you guy's back up the things you say with proof.
i got nothing but the crap in my head. sorry about that.

i do ramble a little, sorry.

I did not paste your entire response but I must say BRAVO!!! it is worthy of an article by itself. I also never know where these folks come up with their theories. 30 years ago the scientific community swore we were going into global COOLING, disenters were shouted down or called malcontents, funny the same type of kooks that picked up the banner of global cooling {the farleft nuts} have picked up the global warming banner and are behaving the same way, shouting down anyone that disagrees.

yep and in 20 years they will pick up the global cooling banner again

Maybe they can save some costs by just calling it "Global Climate Change". That way in 20 years, they do not have to change the banners and placards.
on Jun 26, 2007
No way. Global Warming involves a process that will never turn around, as it will continue to get hotter and hotter and hotter... So that someday, Earth will be a Sun!

Seriously, though, if we're getting 4 inches closer every year, maybe some years we get 4 inches farther away again. Maybe our orbit isn't always the same pattern.

Not to mention that we 'may' have 2,000years of records (venturing out). The shortest lifespan of the earth is from the jewish calendar reaching close to 6,000 years since creation. That would suggest that we would only have limited data on 1/3 of the earth's existence. That's BEST case scenario. My understanding of those who are in support of global warming are also those who believe the earth is many many times older than the what the jewish calendar suggests since creation. If the earth is over a million years old that gives us dubious evidence. That is 0.2% of the earth's data.
on Jun 26, 2007
Why, it would take a million years to get 50% of the Earth's data, and if they're right, we'll be quite dead by then, yes, quite dead. More to the point, in 200 years everyone alive will be dead.

Have a cookie. You'll feel better.

This is correct, in a way. The Earth is not getting closer by four inches the sun is expanding by about 4 inches. Our orbit is eratic and goes from a circle to elipictal about every hundred thousand years. This causes warming and cooling of the planet. The Earth is currently in a circular orbit so we are getting warmer by about a hundrith of a degree per year.

Seriously, though, if we're getting 4 inches closer every year, maybe some years we get 4 inches farther away again. Maybe our orbit isn't always the same pattern.

Yup.

nope this time it will be global constant. People everywhere screaming the weather has NOT CHANGED at all in 20 years, we are all going to die.

On a very serious note, if we can coordinate everyone above the equator to fart at the same time we should be able to move the earth four inches further away from the sun.

on Jun 26, 2007
Oh, the sun is getting closer to the Earth now? How many years does that give us? Will I have to pay my bills before then?

If that's true, than the distance of the Earth from the Sun I learned in school isn't correct anymore, is it?
