America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

Lets take a look back at the beginning of the fall of the Roman Empire.

Plato, who sat at the feet of Socrates, taught that excessive drinking was allowable. He also taught that soldiers not be restrained from gross indulgences.

Salon, a famous Greek lawgiver, enacted public laws that made sensuality blameless and legalized UNNATURAL LUST {NAMBLA}.

Aristotle taught that deformed children should be destroyed. Sound familiar?

Cato, a famous statesman taught that suicide was to be lauded and proved it by committing suicide himself.

Cicero taught that fornication was in no instance wrong no matter age difference, same sex fornication was approved.

Roman law approved infanticide and abortion. Any of this ring a bell?

Julius Caesar declared there is no such thing as a future life, that death was all there is. to quote "death is a rest from the evils of life's woes"

I can see how America is following right along the same path of the Romans, denying God, Murdering children in the womb, Molesting of young children on the rise. Homosexuals demanding we approve of their way of life. Women having the sex of children in the womb checked out before deciding on whether to abort or not.

People demanding that we be allowed to commit suicide if life's burden becomes to much to bear.

This is the decline of America, watch her slowly sink into obscurity just like the Romans did.

It is said that every great empire falls...it is only a matter of time.

I really do not see President Bush as some Power hungry man, he knows in 2009 he is gone, period.

A common complaint with no basis in reality.  But then I would not expect some to understand how politics work (who has purse strings and who is CIC).  Still it is sad the overall lack of knowledge of how the 3 branches of government work, and who has what responsibilities.

Rome hasn't fallen into obscurity. If anything it's the most famous civilisation of all time. They were the foundation of so many of our myths about western civilisation and the source of the Renaissance that led to our current prosperity.

If the US comes even close to having the same lasting impact as Rome it'll never fade into obscurity.

'Moral decline' is really one of the most ridiculous explanations for Rome's fall ever put forward. It doesn't even take China's expansion into consideration, let alone the the separation of the Empire post-Christianity or the growing sophistication of the 'barbarians'.

If the US falls it won't be through immorality. An immoral soldier can still fight. It'll be through being inferior technologically, economically and organisationally. None of those actually rely over much on morality and the first and second actually benefit from immoral acts, so I think your country'll still be around Moderateman when every American is bisexual, pro-euthanasia, not against suicide and drunk.

of course it will still be around, as rome still is around, it will just be a second rate nation, much like Italy is today.
