Can we guess who these comments are from? It's someone that takes offense to what it terms as attack responses and demand respect from others.

THE NAME FRAUDMAN IS A BASTARDATION OF MODERATEMAN

THE NAME FAKERSTREET IS THE SAME FOR BAKERSTREET.

You know Sean you and Modman have a lot in common. You both don't deal well with people being cheeky. You need to control your anger and annoyance in the face of insults. If you don't like being called names, don't argue with the following people: Modman, drmiler, dr guy, terpfan, parated and col gene - or yourself I suppose. You don't have to stand for it you know. You can blacklist and not read what they write.

As for Bakerstreet, well, he just loves to say dramatic things. There's plenty to what he says that makes sense when you look past the flowery phrases and bluntness.

In any event nothing's worth an aneurism, except maybe vast quantities of excellent liquor, some particularly fine cigars and a bevy of nymphomaniacs of your preferred sex or both.

Same goes for you, Modman. Relax. Chill. Don't take things so seriously, even when other people do. The internet exists for your own personal amusement, so every moment you're angry because of it is a moment you're pissing into the wind

I think you believe that because you see these as isolated discussions. You hop to another blog, make a statement alluding to the other one, or pounding the same point, and I bite. That isn't me STARTING something, that's you just taking the same one somewhere else.

I'm not above it. I've always admitted that I love the fray. You obviously don't because when it gets tight, you make statements like the ones above and stop arguing. You go into "whatever" mode.

There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe you ARE above it. It doesn't do you any good when you mire yourself in it, though. Maybe that's why it doesn't seem to suit you.

MM - why did you delete Seans response to you? I read it through and it seemed fair and balanced.

I read his compliment to you about your service to your country, I did not find it insulting, I read it as just that a compliment and a glowing one at that. I do not see how you found the compliment insulting?

I have to ask you and Baker though - I thought the states was all about freedom - to say what you think, to practice what you want etc, freedom to choose your political beliefs etc?

If Sean chooses to have his beliefs as you and Baker say half in Dem and half in Lib (they mean nothing to me as I know zip about politics) - surely he is free to do so? Surely he is free to do that? Hell I thought he was free to start his own political party if he wanted to? Where is the Political tolerance if he cannot express his thoughts, ideas and feelings freely without castigation?

No one is saying he can't choose his political beliefs. His tactic, though, is when anyone talks about his Liberalism, or refers to his beliefs as Democrat propaganda, he comes back with something like "Shows what you know, I am a Libertarian!"

Which is about like me saying "How dare you call me a neo-con, I'm a Marxist!!" His political beliefs are to Libertarianism as Christianity is to Islam. Sure, they both believe in God, and they both believe Jesus existed, but the similarites are all facade. SConn1's political philosophy isn't even in the same tent.

If it wasn't something he lorded over people with when they supposedly mischaracterize his political beliefs, I wouldn't bother. He seems to delight in catching people saying he's a Dem, though, so I have to point out that in almost every way he is. It's no different than if I said I was a Democrat so that people wouldn't think I was partisan when I complained about them.

the article he linked to was an article about liars that say they were in vietnam but were not. To denigrate my service is an insult. NOtice I left all his other replies.
