No idea. He might have given her the Kennedy golf club treatment. Or he might have just given her the regular Kennedy treatment and accidentally killed her. He might have just driven into the water drunk and left her for dead. ... or he might have wrecked, then wandered in a dazed state to a party in a state of total saintly innocence. Ted's behaviour that day was not a surprise.  During his college days, he tried to hide from the cops when they asked him to stop (he got a dui, and was found hiding in his car in a drive way).

Did he intentionally kill her? Kind of irrelevant.  He caused her death.  That much is not in doubt.  And as we all know, Drunk is not an accident.  He did not accidently get drunk.
