I live in the metroplex and I was really tired of hearing about T.O. but this still makes me sad. It's bad enough to go through a hard time without it being broadcast and analyzed by the whole world. I don't know the whole story and we probably will never know the whole story but I hope he's okay.

We like to think the rich and famous have it made and don't have any problems but they do. Just watch Biography. They might not have to worry about how to make the house payment but I wouldn't want to trade lives with most of them.

Loca, as someone that is doomed, liver going and condemned to death, unless a miracle happens, I fight daily for life, with all my being I fight for life, not out of fear of death, but because life is worth fighting for.
I have no pity for people that "try" to commit suicide. It really is easy enough to kill yourself for 'REAL".

I do have pity for anyone who is feeling that low that suicide seems like an answer to their problems. I care about people. He was lucky enough to have a friend who cared enough about him to call 911 and get him to the hospital. I don't think it would have been better for him to have succeeded in his attempt.

I agree that life is worth fighting for. I hope you are able to continue your fight and get your miracle.

It was another attempt by TO to shift attention to himself.

Heh, part of me wants to just ignore it. Still, I've been there, contempating suicide. I don't care for TO, but I'm glad he wasn't successful.

MM: This article is pretty heartless.

Who cares?

I'm guessing his mother--most likely his brothers and sisters if he has any. His friends, extended family. His coaches, his teammates, his old classmates, his neighbors.

I'm with Loca--to be so low (emotionally) to want to end it all--that's not a good place to be, and I certainly don't envy him.

yep shades that's me, heartless, no feeling, not a kind or understanding bone in my body.. you sure have me pegged right.

follow-up...it appears from reports that the only person claiming it was a suicide attempt is a police officer whom we don't know if they had an agenda. Other reports suggest he was in pain after practice and over did it. this is one of those stories i suggest we wait and see till the dust settles before drawing conclusions. it may have been an attempt, it may not have been,,,who knows at this point? i surely wouldn't put my name above any conclusions here.

that's why your name is not the author here. lmao. I am just following the tradition of liberal newspapers, lie first to sell papers, if that does not work tell the truth at a later date, on page 114 with print you need a magnifying glass to see. heh heh heh

Not at all what I think of you--which was why I was mentioning it. You are the opposite of heartless--I know that, I assume you know that, and I would venture a guess that your readers now that.

I don't know much about TO, but I can still feel for his friends and family--if it is true.

A story worthy of ESPN ... the National Enquirer of the sports world.
