America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

I keep seeing people mention that there are cliques here on Joeuser. I wonder how does that look? What are the cliques?

Is it like the Cripes and Bloods? Or more like school yard stuff, you know, the jocks in one corner, the geeks in another, the rich folk here, the poor folk there.?

Who are these cliques? Who is in them? Are you a member of a clique here? Do you want to be?

Inquiring mind wants to know. Are there some that are leaders of said cliques? If there are leaders there must be followers, can you name them?

"bull shit! I did not jump on steven, because he is such a wusie boy, but anyone writting an article condemning the marines with no evidence except the poison of their tiny little liberal hearts, I would beat to death in print.and if a conservative stepped up to bat with the same bullshit, be it whip, doc guy doc miler you or ted, I would jump on/"

Well said, given that wasn't what stevendedalus was doing at all, but being who he is, you can easily lump him in with those who do. The difference is you'd actually read mine or any of the other's articles before you'd decide. Stevendedalus cites personal experiences none of us can touch, and grants the same "ifs" we all do, and yet, here you are namecalling.

Excellent example. Thank you.

Uh, oh, now I'm in danger of being a permanent booger-eater. Save those trolling points, boys...

No, I don't see the difference. Granted, after years of the Col's articles anyone would see him with a bias, but "personal"? No, I don't think that is the issue at all. I've seen plenty of personal jabs consistently thrown back and forth on the Col's blogs. To me, the shock and outrage I get when I jab you consistently on one point shows that you expect a clear line to be drawn between the people who should be jabbed, and the people that expect the gloves to stay on, personal or otherwise.

NO it shows once a point is made and I acknowledge it, I do not want someone scab picking, and that is what you do, make a point, I say got it, then you make the same point, I say got it, you make the same point, I start wondering if your on drugs, you make the same point I feel like you are fucking with me.

you can never be a booger eater baker. disagree we may, annoy me you do, but respect you I do.

I make the same number of points you do, moderateman. You just think that once I answer it on one blog, that you are free from ever seeing the counterpoint again. Yet, oddly, I am always RESPONDING to your point.

So, somehow, you must be posting your point over and over, yet I'm only allowed to respond to it once? How's that?

Same here, and you know that. I just think if you guys give a few other people the same respect, we might stop JU from devolving into a bunch of people nodding at each other all the time. When I am tempted to argue the Liberal point of view simply because no one else is, things must be getting pretty dry.

If I toss out a lure today and catch a fish with it, thank God I'll be able to toss out the same lure tomorrow and get a response. Keep tossing out lures, and you keep getting bites.

bakerstreet thinks this has more to do with getting in the last word than scab picking, lol...

To take it one step further I would say that they definately don't agree all the tme and that's part of the reason they work together... so that they can learn from each other.

sorry your response got lost in the heat of debate.

exactly right, lord knows my joeuser friends have kicked my azz about more than one blog.

Reply By: dynamasoPosted: Monday, June 19, 2006I know I'm coming in very late, but the way I see it, whenever a large group of people get together, be it in real life or online, cliques, for the want of a better word, form naturally. There is nothing wrong with this, it is normal social behaviour. There are some clearly identifiable cliques here (e.g. the political and the religious groups, the mothers, the teens) but these groups don't necessarily contain themselves to their 'categories', thankfully. People are always going to gravitate to those they agree with or those who agree with them.My two cents worth...

and a good two cents it is! sounds like in most things {except magnets} likes attract.

...challenge me to do... what? Write a lefty blog for you and make Bahu write an identical one? Eh... I'd be happy to put my money where my mouth is if it made any sense.

I dont read all of Bahu's, but I have found that we do have common grounds, and do read many of his.  Your sweeping generalizations are becoming typical, but like all sweeping generalizations, it is wrong.  The only one that I do not read (because it is like talking to a brick wall) is Col Gene.  I think Stevendedalus is the most dangerous liberal here because he has many points I agree with, and he presents them very rationally.  kingbee likes to make grandiose statements, that are rarely backed up with any substantiation.  Thatoneguy, although he does not post much is another dangerous liberal as when he does, he makes a very good point usually backed up with substantiation.

I will agree I do agree with you more than the lot above, but not 100%.  I do not agree with anyone 100%, and if you read more of my comments you would know that. But you can continue to pigeon hole me as much as you want.  That will still not make it so.

all good points. kingbee makes statements like that just because he can I believe.

Stevendadalus has lost all my respect for his haditha article, he is now in the same class as john murtha, and he likes it that way.

I miss thatoneguy and the fazz
