America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
In keeping with the in crowd of being privy to secret memos, that somehow only the Bush bashers seem to get ahold of I too have just been handed a super secret memo, presidents eyes only that states without a shadow of a doubt.

this is good for me , yes?

But this is where the problem is. I don't mean thruthteller but that mentality that many Americans have that for some odd reason the American Gov't can not be changed for the better. Why not?

as long as the people in office place the most importence on being re-elected over doing something positive, nothing will change.

I just can't fathom why the American people would let this country fall to the point of extintion, we can do so much and much better that it just doesn't make sense to me.

Remember if we don't learn from history it is bound to repeat itself. We are puffed up thinking that it won't happen to us. Even in the athletic world it is harder to stay on top than any other place. As soon as one becomes the champion if they take it for granted they will be embarassed and thrown from their rank.

Another analogy. A tree doesn't destroy sidewalks and roads in one night. If allowed to grow in time it will cause great destruction.

the answer seems pretty simple then. Don't let them be re-elected. If you really want a government of the people, this would guarantee that those running for office are coming from "the people".

No more incentive to work on getting re-elected should mean more energy to do something. And less of a career in politics should bring people who actually want to work to get something useful done.

with the day to day trying to stay afloat just how would you unite the "people" into a nationwide cohesive force and vote the slackers out of office?

Look to ted kennedy he is a slacker and has been in office forever and MASSA CHEW SHITS just keeps re-electing him.

Sadly, this is how Virginia's Governor office works. By the VA constitution, an individual is not allowed to server two consecutive terms as Governor. They are allowed multiple terms, just not consecutive terms.

To our detriment, this doesn't make them any more inclined to actually getting anything done in the last part of their term. It just means they turn their efforts to getting their chosen successor groomed and prepped for the office instead of getting themselves reelected.
